2021 Thermaltake Case MOD Invitational Season 1


 

Taipei, TaiwanNovember 24, 2021Thermaltake, the leading PC DIY premium brand for Cooling, Gaming Gear, and Enthusiast Memory solutions, is thrilled to announce the winner list of the 2021 Thermaltake Case MOD Invitational Season 1. In first place is Mark Van Acosta from the Philippines, in second place is Clerence Yu from China, and in third places are YG Kim from South Korea and Ahmad Safuan from Malaysia.
 
2021 Thermaltake Case MOD Invitational Season 1 proudly invited 7 renowned modders from Canada, China, Italy, Malaysia, South Korea, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom to get involved in this iconic event, one of Thermaltake’s traditions. During these few months, all modders have shown their remarkable modding, handcraft, organizing skills and ingenious creativity to bring the Thermaltake Core P8 Tempered Glass Full Tower Chassis to the next level. All the mods are amazing and it was difficult for the public and the judges to select the winners. Sincerely thanks all the modders for carrying this event to a whole new level.

Meet the Winners

  • 1st Place [Mark Van Acosta]: Mark’s amazing modding skills made the build “Project EVE” fascinating and clear, all the cables and tubes were displayed just in perfect positions. Both the audience and judges were impressed by this ingenious design and the sheer professionalism. Congratulations on winning the first place!

 

  • 2nd Place [Clerence Yu]: “Project Angel” was delicate in every angle, ranging from the head of the angel, the main stand, the build of the Core P8, to the wings. Every part indicated the carefulness, the unique design and the effort taken by Clerence.

 

  • 3rd Place [YG Kim]: The unconventional shape of the build made “KHATU-AL” so special. YG win a ­­third place by having the boldness, the idea, and the completeness on modding an unprecedented shape of a PC case.

 
3rd Place [Ahmad Safuan]: Turning a Core P8 into a whole distro plate, the final build of “PROJECT 0.6” shows both the originality and the creativity. Ahmad’s expertise in using a CNC machine enhanced the completeness and made this mod extra stunning.

Mark of Perfection
The entries were all top quality and have demonstrated their outstanding modding skills. Hence, it was not easy for the panel of judges to select the winners. The judges were required to evaluate and score from four criteria, including Originality, Design Concept, Final Photos and Video Quality. The total percentage of the score allocated to the Thermaltake CEO was 10%, 15% by Thermaltake Judges, 25% by Tt community voting, 25% professional modders, and 25% by Sponsor Judges. After summing up the votes from the judges, the final result pointed to Mark Van Acosta, Clerence Yu, YG Kim and Ahmad Safuan.
